Family Help Orphaned Baby Otter That Wanders Into Their Garage

A family was surprised to see an orphaned otter cub on their doorstep, crying for assistance.

Tamera-Kay Greenwell and her husband were in their garage when the baby river otter appeared at their Florida house. The otter entered through the open entrance, screaming out for assistance.

They concluded that returning her to the neighboring creek would be the best course of action, believing that the otter’s mother would hear her screams and return for her. The baby, though, was back in their garage the next morning.

Greenwell told the Dodo, “I am betting she came to the home she knew would keep her secure – to find safety.” “She was terrified, adorable, and lovable at the same time.”

That’s when they called animal control, who arrived and took her to Clay Humane, Inc. They estimated the otter’s age to be between 4 and 6 weeks. Daisy is her new name.
Daisy was saved barely in time, according to the veterinarians. To keep alive, babies her age require constant nursing.
