When the little dog meets the cow that raised him, he cries with emotion

Rookie lost his birth mother when he was a young puppy.

Fortunately, he never had to be alone because he spent his childhood on a farm where he could get affection and comfort from the other animals that lived there.

He was particularly drawn to one of the two cows, in specific.

One of the cows built up a strong bond with the little orphan, who started to think of her as his mother.

And the cow was overjoyed to give Rookie the parental care he so much needed.

Rookie would cuddle up to his cow mother and take long, comfortable naps on her back as the two grew almost attached.

In terms of their physical features, they were exactly like any other mother and son team when they played, cuddled, and lovingly rubbed each other.

Rookie and the cow had been living and loving each other for two years when they realized they couldn’t picture life without the other.

But sadly, there was trouble in the way.

The owners of Rookie were forced to sell one of the cows since they could no longer afford to keep both of them.

Rookie saw right away that his mother wasn’t going to return when they took her out of the barn. The small dog started barking loudly, but ineffectively.

The cow was moved to a neighbouring property. Although Rookie couldn’t travel too far at all.

As soon as the cow was removed, he sprinted outside to seek for her.

He followed the voice of her and found her in a farm not far from his house.

Rookie and his mother were thrilled to see one another, but their joy was short.

Rookie’s owner found him and brought the unhappy and uncooperative dog back to the house.

The remaining cow was supposed to be enough to keep Rookie content, but the dog cried for his mother.

He lost his appetite, became depressed, and spent a lot of time crying, complaining, and howling without her.

At some point, his family understood that they would never again be able to keep Rookie and his mother apart.

The little pup would never recover from the loss, it was obvious. He was just so in love with her.

And so, they decided to bring the cow back home.

Rookie had a hard time believing it when he finally saw his mother.

He ran over to her and started crying with excitement.

It was obvious that despite being of different species, the cow and her tiny kid were obviously incredibly happy to see each other.

It serves as a helpful reminder that love doesn’t give a damn about imperceptible differences.
