The Broken Spirit of an Abandoned Dog is Healed by a Rescuer’s Touch

This puppy was discovered hiding beneath a trailer in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Compton. Eldad Hagar and Annie Hart were told by neighbors that his owners had moved away a year ago and left him alone.

The sad, little dog had tangled, overgrown fur, was afraid when approached, and shuddered when touched by humans. But, despite his broken heart, “Theo” seemed to remember what it felt like to be loved just minutes after being apprehended.
