For The First Time, A Dog Rescued From A Puppy Mill Sleeps In A Bed

A 12-year-old dog with skin allergies was rescued from a puppy mill after spending her entire existence in a wire cage. All they cared about was how many puppies she could generate. Thankfully, she may now leave that past behind and receive the help she requires.

Dr. Jeff of Rocky Mountain Vet was called to see her. They began by bathing her, and while they cleansed her, they discovered lesions all over her body. They had to be careful when drying her, so instead of using towels, they put her in a cage in front of a blow dryer.

Dr. Jeff needed to examine her and assess the severity of her injuries. Lily’s stomach and feet were ripped open, but the cuts didn’t appear to be bite marks. They decided that she had spent the last 11 years or so in a wire cage.

It’s a terrible that this was her entire existence, but it’s over now after 12 years. Late is better than never. Lily is led to a location and shown her first bed. It’s a heartbreaking realization that she’d never seen anything like it before. She’s apprehensive at first, unsure what to do with it, but she eventually lies down.
