A CUTE GERMAN SHEPHERD, WHO IS TOO SOCIABLE FOR THE POLICE, GETS AN EVEN BETTER JOB.

Meet Gavel, the German shepherd who is opposite from the usual dogs found in the Police. He is very friendly and happy, all the time, so he doesn’t actually fit into this role.

Because of his cute and friendly demeanor, the German shepherd from Queensland, Australia, was kicked out of his police dog training program.Fortunately, he was able to find a new job in the same field.

The jovial Gavel is now the Vice-Regal Dog, with a permanent residence in the Government House.Instead of chasing bad guys, Gavel now greets distinguished guests of the Government House.

He has outgrown four ceremonial coats, undergone a career change, and brought untold joy to the lives of the Governor, Mrs. De Jersey, Government House staff, and the thousands of Queenslanders who have since visited the estate. Now his official title is, Gavel VRD, which means Vice-Regal-Dog.

After some thought, the new job appears to be a perfect fit for Gavel.Despite this, he is a royal blood dog with a long line of pedigree. He should have made an excellent police dog tracker genetically.Gavel essentially desired to be a dog.

Jersey hopes that Gavel will be with them for a long time as they really love him.
