A stray kitten is found on the streets by a homeless dog, who nurses her and saves her life.

Officer Michelle Smith of Anderson Animal Control in South Carolina received a call about a homeless dog who had been barking and howling for several hours, as though attempting to attract attention.

Officer Smith arrived on the scene to investigate the situation. She was completely taken aback by what she saw when she arrived.
The homeless dog was feeding a little kitten at the bottom of an embankment along a ravine!

Smith realized she couldn’t leave the dog and kitten alone because they wouldn’t be able to live. So she gathered them both and drove them to a nearby shelter.

The dog, a five-year-old Shih Tzu, guarded the kitten and acted as if she were her mother. The dog’s affection soothed the kitten, and the two of them became inseparable.

The most incredible thing is that the dog was lactating and could really nurse the kitten! Despite the fact that the dog had not given birth, she was lactating as a result of a “false pregnancy.”
Pseudo pregnancy, also known as false pregnancy, has symptoms that are similar to those of a legitimate pregnancy, such as mammary gland growth with or without milk production.

In this dog’s case, she developed milk, which is the sole reason this kitten survived. The dog literally saved this kitten’s life.
