Separated from her family, a wild baby elephant is rescued from starvation.
|After being separated from her elephant family on the arid African plains, this lovely elephant calf named Asampu was saved from starvation at the age of six months.
After a call from a Big Life Foundation ranger who had observed the calf wandering the Narraengolo area inside the Amboseli-Chyulu environment, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) stepped in. Orphaned elephants, like this calf, are frequently rescued by the wildlife rescue.
If they hadn’t rescued her, Asampu would likely not have survived, but with their help, she will grow up protected and loved.
