The dog who had been rescued from cruelty was eerily quiet, but his eyes spoke volumes.

When the Humane Society of the United States rescued Tiny Ben from a property in Jones County, Mississippi, he was terribly malnourished. His rescuers instantly recognized that he was malnourished and in desperate need of food.

Ben had no idea his life was about to alter as he slept peacefully in his rescuer’s arms. “He is currently happily healing with one of our shelter partners, awaiting his future home,” according to the Humane Society of the United States.
