MARE AND HER TRAINER DEMONSTRATE THEIR UNIQUE CONNECTION.
An experienced horse trainer named Nadine Lindblom worked with Nina, the mare in this video, to develop strong communication and mutual respect between the two. A beautiful demonstration of bridleless bareback riding was put on by the pair because they have such a strong understanding of each other.
Lindblom’s demonstration shows a well-trained horse that understands exactly what her rider is asking. It’s easy for Lindblom to communicate effectively with her horse without the aid of reins because she maintains her composure while on the horse. To ride your horse bridle less (and eventually bareback) safely, you must first complete a substantial amount of trainings.
Work on letting go of your reins and steering your horse without using any rein action when you’re ready. You’ll be able to practice without removing your bridle, and your reins are still there if you need them. You can put your horse through its paces by planning out your route and the destinations you want to reach. Work your horse off the rail as well, so you’re not always relying on the ring’s shape for extra support.
Take your time and be patient with the process. Riding a horse bridle less takes time and effort, but with dedication, you can achieve your goal.
